They won't stand up! (1 Viewer)

I'm new to the whole diorama aspect of this. I have a mat of a grassy swamp and the figures won't stand up. Do you shave the grass under them or cut slits to put the bases through or what? I want to avoid permanently fixing them to it

I wouldn't cut slits into the mat...it kind of ruins it in my opinion...

if you don't want them permanent...it's a tough balancing act sometimes...

a lot of figures are side heavy and sometimes are unsteady even on a flat surface...

I bought a Robo-cut when I first started making my own mats...

it does a really nice job of shearing the grass...

it solved the problem for me a little bit...
