Dear All,

Welcome to the launch of Thomas Gunn Miniatures! I am sitting here with my new Union Jack mug (bought by my wife) and a hot cup of tea seeing the launch of my new company today and I would like to welcome you to come and see what’s on offer. We spent many months starting from scratch to get here today but it’s truly been a labour of love and one with no regrets.

Our remit is to offer a truly classic product each and every time at a competitive price with no compromise in quality whatsoever.
TGM 001 is priced at $85 or £65 here in the UK, I think you will agree it’s money well spent for something that is not likely to be repeated in the near future. Our first release is limited to 200 sets of the Normandy version available thru dealers and 100 sets of the Mediterranean set available as a Gunn Club Special only available directly thru us. Our order was confirmed as fully completed on Thursday 2nd July by our factory and is inbound by ship here to the UK as we speak, so should be available end of July.

Our next 3 releases which will follow shortly are all FJ’s and will compliment the first set beautifully, after this we are keeping quiet at the moment as to what’s coming but I plan to add plenty more paratroops, infantry and everything else you can imagine as we progress. For those of you who are GI and British fans we also have a whole raft of these designs in the pipeline as well. What I can promise you are unique pieces with no repeat poses or repaints on future releases and that’s a promise!

Please take a look at our website www.tomgunn.co.uk and if you wish to register as a “Gunn Club” member I will be delighted to register you and please let me know if you need anything putting by once it arrives!

Regards

Thomas Gunn

Welcome to the world of model soldier collecting as a manufacturer/Vendor. The first 2 sets look very good, especially the facial expressions.

Can you say who your US dealers are going to be?

And will you eventually make armoured vehicles or stay with just soldier set like Honour Bound?

Terry

Good morning and welcome. I received an email from you today but I had not given you my email address and using or obtaining someone's email address without their permission is a rather serious matter. I am also sure that I was not the only one who received an email from you so I would like to know how you received it and/or them.

Thank you.

A warm welcome to the forum, your product looks superb and I very much look forward to watching your company's progress.:)

Hi Terry
At present we have 2 US dealers confirmed as George from Minutemen and Matt from Hobbybunker but I am sure others will follow shortly.
We do have plans for vehicles but at present we have our hands full with trying to get our backlog of figures made. The trouble with vehicles is there is a nasty habit of some manufacturers trumping each other by bringing out a similar or the same vehicle once they get to hear it's being made elsewhere. I am trying to avoid this as we are keen to make our own mark in our own way. However once we do start on vehicles they will certainly be unique and at a competitive price similar to our first release.

Great news to hear you have some British troops in the pipeline:)

Brad, at this stage in "old internet" your email, like everyone else's, is so widely distributed that I can't believe that is a concern. Given all the daily garbage we all receive I would think that you would be pleased to receive something new and actually interesting for a change. It is not as though they asked for your bank account to deposit funds for a expatriate South American general. You can send me an email to make you feel better if needs be.;):D

Something I should have mentioned is George from Minutemen and Matt from Hobbybunker already have a sample of our first release. Please feel free to email them for an impartial view of our products as I am sure they will happily oblige. Samples were also provided to the TS press who I am sure will also provide you with a review of our products in the near future.

With regards to British troops Rob - you ain't seen nothing yet!

Sorry Bill, but my part of practice is privacy and it's made me heightened to people using my email without my consent. As a colleague, I don't think this is anything that should be dismissed too lightly.

Yes, I'm interested to see the product and have already placed a call to George. I like the Med version and if everything is on the level will order that.

Beautiful; you've officially launched the company, so now I get to finally speak about the figures (but you have to give me credit for not spilling the beans up till now!).

Simply put, they are terrific, well scuplted, very well painted, nice packaging, nice presentation all around. The samples that arrived earlier this week are legit, a very nice addition to all of your WWII collections.

I am thrilled/honored to be one of a select few dealers who will be selling this wonderful new range.

I expect my stock to arrive in time for the Gettysburg show in August (fingers crossed).

Ah well perhaps you can advise me on how to stop the spam calls I routinely receive. Yes I have signed up to all those lists but the pre-existing relationship exception seems to get quite abused or manufactured.;)

As to email, which I must admit bothers me much less with the filters available, are you talking CAN-SPAM? It is not my area but it seemed to me that there are many ways to obtain and use email addresses without violation?

Sorry for my suspicious nature. However, I just talked to George and he's satisfied me. I have pre-ordered the Mediterranean set and will probably register on the site. I don't like the email thing but will let it go.

George, you have shown you can keep a secret for sometime now.

Have you been approched by MI-5 or CIA for consultations...:p

Congrats on this new product range for you, good luck..

Cheers,
Paul
