That's all for this month for aircraft, our figure release will follow some time in March, we are working on an early release for March but depends on when our factories return to work after what seems a 'forever' Chinese New Year holiday!
We have had our last batch of Junkers 52 Tri-motor aircraft delivered, after this there will be no more available as we are discontinuing production of this type of model. Its an extremely difficult aircraft to manufacture as each corrugated strut has to be hand carved, which doubles the amount of work involved compared to other models. Basically the factories we use no longer want to make them anymore and so I am afraid this it, once they are gone they are gone forever!
If you check out our website you will see a collection of Ju 52 models available as of now, these are the last ones of these particular variants:
WOW091 Crete Variant 2 available
WOW148 Winter 'where Eagles Dare' with 1 available of this variant .
WOW238 Russian Front Variant, this is a new release not advertised before and only 3 models are available.
WOW224; The FW Ta 152 was a late war fighter interceptor design by Kurt Tank and manufactured by Focke Wulf. Although far superior to any Allied fighter of the time, it arrived too late to affect the outcome of the war.
Our 1/30 scale hand carved Mahogany model is in the markings of one flown by Ace Willi Reschke who achieved 20 of his 27 victories against American heavy bombers. Reschke was known to fly at least 2 Ta 152’s with numbers 4 and 9 being 2 of the serial numbers utilised. His first success came in 2nd July 1944 when he downed 2 x B-24 Liberators, on the 7th July he claimed another B-24 by ramming it when his guns failed! On 24 August Reschke claimed another B-24 but during an attack on a second, his aircraft was hit by return fire and he attempted to force-land whilst under attack by P-51 fighters, this time having to bail out using his parachute. On 29 August he shot down his first B-17 bomber, although another Bf 109 fired on his Bf 109 G-6 and Reschke had to force-land his damaged fighter. By the end of August 1944 Reschke had 14 victories to his credit. In October his unit transferred to Berlin. On 1 January 1945 Feldwebel Reschke downed a B-17 for his 22nd victory claim but again, hit by return fire, he bailed out of his Fw 190. On 13 March he was awarded the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold. In March 1945 Reschke transferred to the Geschwaderstab, JG 301. On 14 April he flew the new FW Ta 152 for the first time and claimed an Allied fighter, a Hawker Tempest. On 20 April Oberfeldwebel Reschke received the Knights Cross and claimed his last 2 victories on 24th April when he downed2 x Soviet Yak-9’s near Berlin. Reschke survived the war and only recently died in July 2017 aged 95 years old.

Our 1/30 scale model comes in an attractive camouflage colour scheme and is also supplied with a free figure subject to availability. The Junkers D.1 was a single seat fighter aircraft with a length of nearly 24ft and a wing span of approx 30ft. It had a maximum speed of 109 MPH and was armed with 2 x machine guns.

WOW211: The DFW C.V was arguably the single most important German aircraft of the First World War. The entire reason for military aviation at the start of WW1 was to support the war on the ground and the most significant way to do this was through reconnaissance and artillery observation. A skilled artillery observer in a wireless equipped two-seater, could kill more enemy with his index finger in a few minutes than the most skilled fighter pilots could in a lifetime and the DFW C.V was the most prevalent front line German two-seater of the war. Much mystery surrounds the development of the DFW C.V but the prototype appears to have first flown in May 1916 and passed its required structural tests in early August 1916 resulting in an order for 60 aircraft. By late October the 1st dozen or so production DFW C.V were serving at the front and had made such an impression that over the next couple of months 1000 more aircraft were ordered. Production continued up until the armistice, by which time nearly 4000 DFW C.V had been ordered from Deutsche Flugzeug-Werke (DFW) (2005), Automobile und Aviatik (1400), Luftverkehrsgesellschaft (LVG) (400) and Halberstädter Flugzeugwerke (150). LVG would go on to incorporate many aspects of the DFW C.V into their successful LVG C.V.
Our 1/30 scale version of this aircraft is limited to 7 in number worldwide and is decorated in a unique WW1 colour scheme featuring a Mercedes style star pattern on the side of the fuselage. Normal retail price is $425 plus $100 postage, for EU,UK please see our website as shipping costs will vary.

WOW163: The Avro 504 was a two seater First World War biplane aircraft made by the Avro aircraft company and under licence by others. Production during the war totalled 8,970 and continued for almost 20 years, making it the most-produced aircraft of any kind that served in WW1, in any military capacity, during that conflict. More than 10,000 were built from 1913 until production ended in 1932.
Small numbers of early aircraft were purchased by the Royal Flying Corps (RFC) and the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) prior to the start of the First World War and were taken to France when the war started. One of these aircraft was the first British aircraft to be shot down by the Germans, on 22 August 1914. The pilot was 2nd Lt. Vincent Waterfall and his navigator Lt Charles George Gordon Bayly (both of 5 Sqn RFC). The RNAS used four 504s to form a special flight in order to bomb the Zeppelin works at Friedrichshafen on the shores of Lake Constance. Three set out from Belfort in north-eastern France on 21 November 1914, carrying four 20 lb (9 kg) bombs each. While one aircraft was shot down, the raid was successful, with several direct hits on the airship sheds and the destruction of the hydrogen generating plant.
This hand carved 1/30 scale Mahogany model represents one of the late war Avro 504’s that were used for night fighting and is now flying with the Shuttleworth collection here in the UK.
Limited to 5 pieces worldwide, comes with free figure ‘Aircraftsman Lawrence of Arabia’ as he might have appeared postwar. The regular price for this model is $399 plus $100 postage as there is no free postage on Warbirds due to their large size.
UK/EU customers please check out our website www.tomgunn.co.uk for pricing as shipping rates will vary.

The F4 Phantoms are fantastic. Always have been my favorite aircraft that didn't have propellers.:wink2: The Albatros floatplane is really sharp looking. Don't think any of them will stay around for long. Nice work, as always. -- Al
The website seems to have some glitch. I you look for the models you only see the Albatross floatplane W4 as new.
But if you hit one of the models in the recently viewed items, you will see a new LVG C.VI.
Both are very nice

Didn't see the new LVG until this AM. A very attractively done model of this workhorse. TGM sure has the 2-seater market all but cornered with the many different observation and ground-attack aircraft that they have produced. -- Al
