So before I joined the club, they released a series of British line inf. sets, some 95th, and some curassiers. Could anyone give me a list of sets, source to get them, pics of their own, or even sell me them? I am desperately looking for something...:confused::confused::confused::(

Hi There

Here is the info I have on the series, it came out in 06 and was a really nice series which I considered but never got in to another mistake I am sure. The series is called The Morning of Waterloo and it is really nice looking, however, you needed to be a member of the club to get a chance at them. I suggest you consider joining the club to take advantage of it. The sets are based on an Infantry Square and have a mix of Infantry in various poses, 95th Rifles, Sappers and a command set with the colors. They also did a nice looking set of Wellington with a Rifles Officer sharing breakfast prior to the battle.

The set product numbers are as follows (2006 prices)

41153 British Standing Firing 4 figures $67.32 (x3 for full display)
41154 British Kneeling Firing 4 figs same as abouve
41155 95th Rifles 2 Figs $36.47 (x4)
41156 British Command Set 3 figures $56.10 (x1)
41157 British Loading 2 figs $36.47 (x3)
41158 Sapper Regiment Firing 2 figs $36.47 (x2)
41159 Wounded British 2 figs $36.47 (x2)
41160 Wellington w/95th Rifles $56.10 (x1)

There are also French Cavalry that can be included in this set they are

41161 and 41162 at $67.32 per set of 2 figures 1 each for full display.

I hope this helps also there was a couple of the sets on ebay the other day they were the pair of wounded and falling off of their horses French Cavalry. Good luck in the quest for these beauties. If I find the paperwork for these sets which I saved but havent unpacked yet I will scan it and post a copy.

I am part of the club, and this was retired the year after I joined:(:(:( Does anyone have these set who would like to sell them?:confused:

Good luck finding them all in one place! I sure hope you do but I also think you should drop a note to the Club and post an add in the Standard its free and has a high possibility of sucess.

Still Good luck and enjoy the hunt!

Odd I don't remember these being covered in Norman Joplins Britains book. Are they a 1st Gear release or carry over from RC2?

RC2 from 2004????? I have a catalog with a small pic of them in the back with no caption or reference whatsoever.

You have to love Fish, he knows everything about 99% of the Napoleonics out there, a true collector who knows his stuff and is a wealth of knowledge on the period.

A great guy to have on this or any forum; if he doesn't know the answer when it comes to Napoleonic figure manufacturers, I'd be stunned............................

When WB's went through a change of ownership some years back. Lots of product was "dumped" on Ebay and auctioned off through a liquidation house, including all the unsold collectors club sets. Many sets in the Morning of Waterloo series were sold off this way. Around 3,500 pieces were sold off in total.

If I recall correctly one of the large UK WB dealers (MKL ? bought up many of the British sets and delibrately split the boxes, i.e. sold off single figures. In an attempt to maintain value. As many collectors were disillusioned having paid full price for their collections. I believe that the sets with 2 mounted French originally retailed at around £48. I bought a set for £13 on Ebay at the time and one on the Collectors Shermans for £15.
