Three brothers set out to make their fortune mining for Gold, One got ill and died. Then Indian trouble came their way in the shape of a war party, when past neither of the bothers lived. A while later a Cavalry Patrol saw some smoke, going to investigate they found the bodies of the two brothers and buried them next to their other brother. Hardly had they completed their burial then they were caught by the roving war party returning their way.

Morning Steve,
WOW … really like that scene with a great coordination of foreground and background.
Nice little story to go along with it. Just imagine what you can create when you find a few more figures … :rolleyes2:

I believe that is a JJD hut, works real well. I missed out on those (like a dummy :p) as they went rather fast.

Afternoon Larry, No sore head from yesterday !?

Yes, they're great figures and I had been trying to resist the range. But resistance is futile !

Thanks mate, though the hut is the Hobbybunker copy of the JJD one. I believe it's still available along with the blockhouse etc

Nice pieces at a reasonable price. So why not treat yourself !

Steve

Oh and the background photo was one I took when I was doing a tour of some of the US parks. I believe this one I took in Yellowstone.

What a sad yet beautiful story! {eek3} I've already said… these are the things I really like! :) Keep it up, go very well!

Cheers

P.s. : as always , great shots!

Now we need a view of the other side of this encounter...with the red men!😉

Thanks Enrico ! What one imagines as the Wagon train films of Lore. Were in fact something completely different.
With people pushing wheelbarrows containing their World to the West. Makes it all the more desperate, pathetic and MEANINGFUL. This is what AMERICA was built on. And from such small starts, should make anyone's chest swell, American or not !
