Hi All,
I am hoping there are some other Tank Corps types (British or American) out there. I am really into history and my focus is mainly on The beginings of the Tank Corps in WWI and its genisis through the 20's and 30's into a fully recognized fighting force in WWII. This book is by Bryan Perrett and its focus is on the formations of the Royal Armoured Corps (RAC) whose function during WWII was the support of the Infantry. The story covers several campaigns including Arras and Alamein, Italy and the Reichswald. It is a very detailed look at the life of the tank crews and the combat they endured. Hope some one else out there has read it and is interested in the story. It was published in 1975 and is worth a look. A lot of photos including some decent ones from the field showing great details like maintenance being performed and the damage from fighting. Also has a lot of maps and plans from each battle.
