Why ???

This gun couldn't sustain the rate of fire required so it was replaced with the US M2A2 105mm howitzer.

Only problem was it was taken back to AUS and we got them in the Reserves !!!

Good news was when AUS withdrew, they bought the US guns back and we got them ... for the next 40 years !!!!

Why you ask John !
Because it would be an interesting artillery piece to add to the Vietnam range at least to me, though obviously not yourself !
Still we all have models we'd like to see produced in Artillery, in the ranges we collect, as I'm sure there are many Napoleonic Artillery pieces you'd like to see made !

Talking of models we'd like to see made, I'd like to see an LVTP-5 and an M76 Otter, but I don't suppose they will get done.

I'd still like to see an L5 105mm Howitzer, but in firing pose, Andy could use the same gunners at the M2A2 and he could also use it with Argentine Gunners for his forthcoming Falklands War figures.... GOOD IDEA ????
