I would like to see a product release timeline added to the First Legion website. First Legion is only a little over two years old and is showing no signs of slowing down its growth. All its figures are still available or due for a re-release except for some Bavarians. What I would like is a page with a simple list telling all the group release dates and which products were released in that group. This should include its catalogue number and the brief descriptive name; pictures would be nice but not essential.

As First Legion continues to add new figures and then as figures are sold out and dropped from the website this record will be a tremendous aid to collectors. After the initial work posting everything so far released, it could be easily kept up to date as each new release is made.

I was wondering how long the Prussians had been available and I couldn’t find that information on the website anywhere. Maybe it is there and I am just missing it. The only way I could find out was to go back into the old posts of the Forum.

More work for you to do Matt. :)

That's a very good point IMHO.

Cheers,

Actually this is one case where we can do this better and faster for ourselves. There already is a word file with pictures and pricing through NAP0203.

There is a column for release dates but only a few are noted. You can find these easily enough by looking through the FL threads here. I might even do it myself if I have some time.

I would rather Matt work on getting us the great releases that are announced and yet to come.;):D

Spitfrnd,

I agree that Matt should stay focused on new releases. The list you refer to is perfect, except for the dates aren't given as you noted. Each person would need to add/change these and then save or print it.

Thank you for pointing this area out. I had seen it before, but had forgotten how good it was. I like that it still shows figures that have been removed from the website, like the sold out Bavarians.

I may have some time to mess with the dates and updates this weekend. If so I'll send the revisions to Matt.

Actually, I really like this list with photos. I use it for my inventory.

We had something like this, but it had fallen woefully out of date. I've updated the product listings page (hadn't done it since April 09) and included the release dates with retired figures in bold red. The latest set to join the ranks of the retired is NAP0019....

NAP Europe Product Listing

Of course, i need to create a page like this for our other ranges as well at some point.

I also plan on creating a catalog section that will list the retired items exactly as they appeared in the catalog. Just a matter of when I get around to it!

Hope this helps a little bit anyway.....

Best,

Matt

OMG I'm so happy I've bought the french artillery set 1 month ago.. I'm sure it will become a classic set of what FL was doing at its beginning !

Cheers

Thanks Matt. I'll add this info to my updated Product Listing file.

How sad to see the NAP0019, French Line Artillery Set, go out of production. I had toyed with the idea of ordering another set, but I suppose that isn’t a temptation anymore. Hopefully, we will see another set in the future with a different gun crew. First Legion figures have gotten so much better as their production has increased. I would like to see the next set with gun crew members in more action poses and maybe a wounded/dead gunner.

Matt,

The Product List page is exactly what I was looking for, a one stop location where you can check to see how long a figure has been available for sale. :)

Thank you, Matt.

That will come in handy and is a lot easier to manage then the complete catalog that I had printed out ( also a lot easier on my ink cartridges ). This is a great way to keep track at a glance of what you have and what you would like to have :)
Mensch I'm sure glad that I have the NAP0019 French Line Artillery Set, although not up to what First Legion are producing now in terms of quality of sculpt and painting its still IMO a great piece . As more and more collectors come on board this will be sure to fetch a very high price down the road  The updated list is sweet .. your the Mann ;) Regards Gebhard

I second all that and would add a request for a RHA set.

For those interested, the full photo inclusive product listing has now been updated with release dates and new additions.

That is perfect , its very handy to keep up with what you have and what you would like to have . I have it printed out and I'm currently using highlighter to make it easy to see what i have , I'm then putting a small circle in the margin next to the number to keep track of the multiples . Its very handy , thanks for updating it Matt . All the best gebhard :)

You're welcome.;):D BTW, since it is a word file, you can add a column for your inventory / purchases and just put in the number of each you have if you keep it on your computer as I do.
