Just wonder who looking forward to the new film coming out Friday?

I hadn't heard about this and I see it's coming out in the US in December. There is no way they could improve on the Six part TV series done back in the early 80. Alec Guiness is George Smiley. I watch that DVD at least a couple of times a year. Gary Oldman as George? Colin Firth as Bill Haydon? John Hurt as Control? No way.

I will see it but I know it won't measure up.

It had review in the papers over in the UK , have you seen The Perfect spy?

Yes, thought it was well done.

Also have Smiley's People, the last Smiley book, on DVD. Very good as well. I guess the Honorable Schoolboy didn't lend itself to the big screen.

Read most of the books. Aside from the Smiley books, Little Drummer Girl is very good.
