.... As well as their families, who have had to put up with so much and endure the problems of the home front. {sm4}
I am wishing the best to all the men and women ... from all countries ... who gave (or are giving) part of their lives to serve in the ARMY, NAVY, AIR FORCE, MARINES or COAST GUARD.

But... most importantly a special THANK YOU to all the men and women who GAVE UP THEIR LIVES for our freedoms.

I think of my lost fellow soldiers every day,,especially this day,,,thank you ,,Recon Pltn,,2nd Bn ,,18th Inf ,,1st Inf Div,,1966-67,,Sgt Bartlett,Cpl Herbert,,Krug,,peek,,and you others that are faces I cant Identify,,
 
I don't know if you realise but here on the SW corner of Australia there was a very special ceremony for your Memorial Day

The annual ceremony in Perth is the only one of its kind in Australia, and organisers believe it is the only official service held outside of the United States.

By the way, Fremantle, the port city, was the biggest submarine base in the southern hemisphere in WW2 and many US Sailors operated out of there, many never to return. Also many ouf our ladies married US servicemen and left our shores as war brides to start a new life in the USA.
