Tobruck 1942 Series (Look what I found) (2 Viewers)

Look what I found in the latest edition of Toy Soldier Collector.....What do you guys think? Please forgive the poor picture quality it's not a reflection of the sculpting or painting but that of the photographer taking pictures from a magazine under poor lighting and shaky hand.

I want to see the actual figures and equipment before commenting. I saw the larger 1/24 scale 88mm, Kettenrad, Rommel and Adjutant, and Attacking German Panzer Grenadiers at Chicago, and still remember Mr. Levy arguing those figures were at most 1/30 scale. Regardless of the scale, the look of these figures are very different, with the eyes sculpted but not painted i.e. whites of eyes and pupil not painted.

This is one of their 1/24 scale figures.;)

I think the faces are much better than the Normandy ones, more toned and less guant.A definite improvement, does anyone know if they will be at the London show in March?.

WOW-I hope these are 60mm compatible.

Wish I could get to the Westcoaster to see these items in person.

If Collector's Showcase or a dealer has the new figures, I'll take some pictures and post a report on whether they are really 60mm.:)

:) Regardless , if their 1/30 or 65mm Larger; I will Buy them ALL! They're once in a Toy Soldier Collector's Lifetime! To me they're STUNNING!

I think the thing about the facial features that would give me second thought on buying these guys is the consistant, at least that's the view I get from the pictures Carlos has posted, large check bones and extended chins. Each guy seems to have been cut from the same mold. The 88 crew looks, to me, the be the least not unattractive. I might consider that set, but the guy on the Kettenkraftrad looks very strange.

The detailing on the Panzer I looks very good. I would really like to see some of these sets in person before I make up my mind. It may be that they are a new company and that I have more experience with K&C and Britians that allows me to have a better understanding of what a new release figure in a picture looks like.

I feel the same really.I am tempted but would like to see them first hand before i decide.I see what you mean about the faces, the chap on the MKII has a bit of a chin. Also think the 88mm is the set i would most likely go for,but am hoping to see it at the London show in March. It is an interesting piece on them in toy soldier collector.

Hi Rob,

Collector's Showcase had all the DAK range at the December show. Didn't you see them? They were available for preorder at cheaper prices.
I wasn't overly keen on the figures myself but i thought the 88 was a really good set.

Hi mate, yes did check them out but they still had those severe faces.I'm hoping we may see the newer ones in March?.As you said, so far like the 88 but not the figures.
