All,
Just finished Tortilla Flats by John Steinbeck and I must say it was a great read! You know when you read Steinbeck you just know something bad is going to happen at the end and of course he did not disappoint. Remember Lenny? Well, the same is true with Danny in Tortilla Flats. Man, just knew it was coming but had no idea how it was going to happen. Anyway, it is truly a very funny and sometimes hysterical book. The "paisanos" are something else and reading about their adventures was something else. Plus, how much wine can a man consume? Read the book and you will see that wine is not only a thirst quencher, but a life's mission.
So, for the month of April two books were consumed (keeping up with my two book a month goal) and they were Memoirs of My Melancholy Whores by Marquez and Tortilla Flats by SteinBeck
