I am looking for a display cabinet that would have at least one shelf that would fit a K&C B-17 (approx 40 inch wing span). Has anyone seen such a cabinet. I am thinking something that would be wide at the base and narrow for the upper shelves. I have this bomber in the box still and it's killing me

If there were such a cabinet, it would take up a lot of room. My suggestion is to buy a display cabinet that is not terribly tall and place the plane on top.

Alternatively, you could send it to me, which will take care of your problem :rolleyes2:

Haha! yeah, screw it - I can't deal with this thing! what's the address!?!?!? :p

How about a clear acrylic case with a wooden base, it would have to be made to measure but I had one made for my WBritains Nile River Gun Boat.

Hello,

I had the same problem has you, where will i put all my Avros ,B-17, Ju-88, Ju52 etc...

Well i met a company thats call MTLDisplay, they are situated in Montreal,Quebec, and they do make custom display at the size you want. If you need their phone its no problem.

Me im waiting for next year, so i will do some major upgrade to my house, then i will put those big airplanes in all glass cabinet with LED inside, i dont want my airplanes to collect dust.

When i will have them made in 2014 im gonna show them in here.

First thing is to figure out where a display cabinet can go. That will help determine how big it can be. If It is a large room devoted to your collection, consider putting the display in the centre of the room instead of against a wall so you can see it from all sides. Also consider that you may want to use the display for dioramas from time to time.

I would get a nice square table bar height size which you can get at any unfinished furniture store. Then you can have a custom plastic cover made to cover the top. I have used this company for custom cases, they do good work.

We switched houses and collections and I've decided to sell all my Heco ^&grin

However, we have not switched wives :rolleyes2:

If you're selling all your HECO can I put in a pre-emptive low bid for the entire lot? Then you will have room for the B-17 {sm3}
