Hello,
I was thinking about going to the toy soldier show in Annandale, Va on Aug 19. I was wondering if anyone is planning on going or has been in the past.

I just wanted to add that I have been reading the forum for quite a while now. It has been very informative.

I look forward to talking with you in the future.

Thanks,

Ronnie

Hi Ronnie, I'm not going to attend this show (I'm in Atlanta for the moment)

but Brian Greenwood a terrific King & Country dealer will be. You should look

him up. He is very nice, and he will have a nice selection on King & Country

and some sharp display cases.

I believe George Guerriero of Minutemen also attends. He and Brian are two of the nicest guys around.

I have gone a couple of times. Not one of the bigger shows, but still nice to look around if you don't often get the chance to see the figures in person. The St. Petersburg - Aeroart folks are usually there and have a great display of soldiers. Really the best of the best and the highlight of the show by far.

Welcome to the forum! I,m glad to have some new blood to the forum and wish that more of the guests that read the forum all the time would post also, and that when they do that they fill out the intrests section when they sign up so that every one will know what there intrests are. Any way Welcome to the nut house!

Welcome aboard Ronnie. I can't be sure if he's going this year, but Jack Matthews, one of the great toy soldier collectors told me about going to this show and the show in Atlanta and having a great time in the past.

Ronnie,
Welcome aboard and nice to have a new member posting.

As mentioned by a couple of the other members, I will be there with K & C, Britains, Figarti, Conte, Del Prado, ONTC, Honour Bound, New Model Army, Build A Rama and JG Miniatures as well as loads of my custom displays. Brian Greenwood and The Hobby Bunker will also be there among others.

Last year was the first year I attended and it was moved from the previous location; the hall is actually the gym of the local community college and it is large enough to hold all of the vendors and attendees without crowding as some shows tend to be to large for the hall if you know what I mean. The show is sponsored by the Washington Model Figures Club and some of the figures, vehicles and dioramas on display are very well done. Stop by and say hello; I will have six tables of merchandise........

Welcome aboard Ronnie.
Hope you get know us. Sometimes we fight among ourselves.
If you feel up to it put a little info about yourself in the profile section.

Have good time

Thanks for all of the responses and warm welcome I received.

I look forward to meeting those of you who plan on attending the show.

Just to add a little background about myself: I currently operate a small diecast store/website. We focus primarily on military models from The Franklin Mint, Corgi, Dragon, Forces of Valor and others. I have been looking at the toy soldiers for quite some time. We are now in the process of opening accounts with some of the larger manufacturers and hope to have the soldiers in our store shortly. I didn't mention this previously because I didn't know if it was proper for another dealer to post on the forum. After a PM with Shannon I was assured that it was ok.

Thanks again.

Ronnie
