Does any one know what happened to the other toy soldier forum? I went to take a peek and see what was going on over at the other forum only to find it gone. I never posted on it but, I liked to check it out every now and then. They had this one guy (MARK T) I think was his forum name that made some cool stuff out of pink foam and posted some nice diorama pictures. I never posted because it was more of a WWII focus and some of the members were really out there but I still liked to check in from time to time. I also liked the fact that it was set up just like the treefrog forum.

According to the page that opens when you go to the site, the Toy Soldier Chat site has expired. Sounds like the host or administrator is not paying the ISP fee for the site.:(

Eric did mention that he was going to do maintenance this week. Maybe something went wrong.

Gentle Friends,

After reading the comments on this thread, I logged on to the Toy Soldier Chat and everything was there. I did not attempt to post anything, but I checked several threads and everything seemed to work fine. Comments were there, pictures were there, etc. In fact, I had logged on tho the Chat earlier in the day and I thought it seemed strange that I was the only one logged on to that forum and there were no new comments. Usually, there are several people listed as searching various threads and several new comments.

Eric did say he would be performing maintenance, but he was not specific about what he was doing. You might check again later and see if everything is operational.

Warm regards,

Pat

I just checked and it was not there. The expiration notice was there.

When a site like the Soldier chat line expires do they have to pay someone who copyrighted their web site address? Does the site just rent the address from them? I don't understand how the laws apply to these sites. Like people taking personal names of celebrities or sport teams and trying to sell them back to the owners. Don't understand how that system works. John:confused:

Now, that's odd. Maybe that would explain no posts in the last few days.

I've noticed something odd: whenever I look on toysoldierchat first, I have to log in again over here. I have to fill my username/password again, before I can look at the threads or post something...

BTW, other forum online again...

I think you need to clear the cache and then the page should reload properly. Looks fine to me, although yesterday it wasn't there. I think that its absence across several critical time-zones is the reason why there are no new posts on it. I've just tested it and it seems fine.

Hi All,

Are they still as far out there as ever? I have dropped off of their site for a while because they get too werid for me at times. A lot of bickering and strange posters over there too.

Dave
