The September issue #136 is devoted to the French/Indian war. I recommend this issue if you are interested in this time period. The magazine this month covers Britains, John Jenkins, Frontline and other figure makers.

Our own Polar Bear wrote a very nice article and pictures of the glossy Britain's figures. I found this issue very interesting. Thanks Randy for the information in your article. Leadmen

Got mine today, a very entertaining read especially the articles and pics on the FIW.

I have not as yet started a subscription to TS&MF magazine.

Instead, I have purchased selected issues with articles of special interest to me.

Does anyone have any comments about the online version of the TS&MF magazine?

Should I opt fo the hardcopy magazine or go to the online eMag?

Best, Raymond.

I have a subscription to the online version.. It's great, not only do you get a new year's worth of the magazine, but several years of back issues.. Of course, the downside is you don't have a nice, glossy magazine to hold in your hands.. You can read each issue online, or download a pdf version even when you're not online. You can also print the pdf if you really need to have a physical copy in your hand..

For me - it's more than worth the price.

Hi Jim,

Thank you very much for your valuable comments.

The cost of the online subscription per year is significantly less than the hardcopy subscription.

For all the plus points that you have mentioned, iMag does appear to be the way to go.

Kind Regards, Raymond.

I found the website and I'm going to order this issue as the FIW is my main interest and if I like it I probably will get a sub.One question does each issue have articles on different subjects or is each issue devoted a to a single topic.Thanks.
Mark

My copy came in today's mail, congratulations, Randy, on your excellent article on Britain's figures from the French and Indian War!

And to marco, sometimes an issue has a theme, and most or all of the articles will follow that theme, but more frequently, the features are varied. I recommend a subscription.

Prost!

I get the hardcopy, once I am done with it, I pass it along to my nephew.

I also subscribe to Toy Soldier Collector, I like them both of the magazines.

Brian,

I think I shall go for a hardcopy subscription for a year in the first instance.

After which, I may switch to the online iMag subscription.

Thanks for comments, Raymond.

I just recieved my first issue ever tonight and if I like it I'll have to get a sub.I think I'll get the hardcopy as there is much more enjoyment having a book or magazine in your hand.

Does anyone else have spotty delivery of TS&MF magazine. I still have not rec'd issue 136. Some months I do not receive an issue and then the next month both issues will come together sometimes not.

Although they will send the missing issue when I contact them.

I use to have delivery issues too. I haven't bought any copies for sometime now. I found that the information in it was always a few months behind the internet.

Sometimes I get two issues within 2-weeks of each other, which is not a big deal. My problem is a lot of times the magazine comes bent out of shape. I collect these magazines so I like the magazine in good shape. Its a good reference for the variety of toy soldiers out there.

Does any one have the website or address to this publication?? Subscription costs??
