My wife and I have just had the best Christmas this year! All of our family members were able to attend the gatherings and all are in good health. We have been so blessed.

Did any of your love ones give you any toy soldiers this Christmas? Well, my wife went above the call of duty in arranging all of my presents. All of my gifts were toy soldiers. The following picture is what I received this month for my birthday and Christmas from her and my relatives. Not only all of the figures that are shown, but the farmhouse and courtyard were Christmas gifts as well. It was pretty awesome. All of the figures are just outstanding.

I got an amazing gift from my good friend and fellow collector Hans Hedrich. Believe it or not he actually bought me one of the new Warbirds - the Fairey Swordfish. His generosity just blew me away.

Well, is it great or what? An amazing engineering marvel in my view, not the plane, but the model makers.

Brad,

The interior detail of the three seat cockpit is just mind-boggling. It is way larger than the early K&C version of the Swordfish. Makes me wonder if it is closer to 1:30 than 1:32. It is certainly one of the best new warbirds, and now I am even more excited about the Doolittle Raider.

Louis,

The Swordfish is an amazing plane. However, from the pictures Andrew (Preatorian) posted of the B 25, it looks even better. Wish I could get one.

I wished I could get the Swordfish, and thanks to Hans' generosity, my wish came through. Believe me I know where you are coming from with the B-25. If it wasn't my 40th Birthday next month, I doubt I would have been able to get one.
