I am leaving this weekend for a 12 day business trip to Europe (Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Turkey and Greece). I will spend the next weekend in Prague and was wondering if anyone knows of a good toy soldier store in this great city. I looked on the Web but could not find anything (and I don't speak Czech :)). Thanks in advance for any tips...

Well thats an interesting question. Last time I was there which was a long while back I didnt find any shops that were Toy Soldier shops but I found a bunch of soldiers in a flea market open air weekend market. It was near the main square where there is a clock tower and they shot part of Mission Impossible there. I wish I could be more exact but if you ask at the hotel where you are staying you may be able to find an open air farmers market place. The soldiers I picked up were a mixed batch of 25mm Naps and a couple of Russian Made figures of various Russian Soldiers. So I imagine you may be able to find some interesting stuff. Now if you are driving across Germany There is a store in Rottenburg on the Tauber that carried Tradition of London and had some really great books on WWII including things like Rommels Book which I found there and a small antique shop across the street had German Picklehalbs from WWI that were original and correct. So let me know if you are going there and I will get my map out with the street name on it. They also have a really interesting torture museum that had a kinds of interesting middle ages troture instruments. Anyway let me know if you will be going there and I will try and figure out the street for you.

Have a great trip

Dave

Thanks Dave for the tip! I will definitely ask the concierge at my hotel in Prague. Open air markets are indeed very interesting in Eastern Europe. I bought many toy soldiers in Moscow (Russia) at the Arbat street market. I am not going to Germany this time but I will keep your info in mind for a future trip. Thanks again! :)

since you go to visit Hungary, you must visit Slovenija also.I know a person who have Henrik VIII and his 6 wives, mint box,....for a good price:D:D:D
