Dear Fellow Collectors,

For those of you who have not booked transporation from and to O'Hare, Viatas Limousine charges $34 for a shared ride in a Lincoln Towncar. If you want this rate, you need to call them directly at 1-800-421-0607 and ask for the shared rate. If you use their online reservation link, it will only quote you the "non-shared" rate which is $65. I have never had to share a ride from O'Hare, but usually share the ride to the airport. Last year, it was with Andy and Helen of K&C.:smile2:

P.S. The vulture is already circling.^&grin

I booked mine with them as well.

Btw, I have never seen a vulture with clipped wings :D

PS Thanks for the heads up but young Brad had already booked my Car for me. Thanks Brad.

Too bad nothing is open on Tuesday night.^&grin I'll be arriving at 0520 hrs. on Wednesday and will be at the Hyatt when the first room opens.^&grin

He must be planning to wake the dealers, make them breakfast, and get them dressed (make sure they brush) :D

I mentioned this earlier on the K&C section but I have made my reservations with Viatas for pick up on Friday the 21, at 1:06 p.m. so if you are flying into O'hare about that time and need a ride let me know...Sammy

Up for this year's Show, as it is now less than a month away.

With all these beers our condition will be such that Steven "The Vulture" Chong will swoop up everything {eek3}

As we are now into September, I checked with Viatas and the fare is still $39 and just booked my car reservations.

This is probably early but since it looks like we have a lot of first timers coming, it's probably a good idea to refresh this thread.

Hi All,

This is a great post and typical of our forum moderators, thank you.

I will be landing on Tuesday Sept 22nd at 12.10, maybe early for most folk but, I intend to have a few days around Chicago before the show.

My flight out, is Monday 28th at 17.05 so I will be leaving the hotel around 2pm at a guess.

If anyone wants to join in any of my journeys you are welcome.

This is my first show in Chicago and looking forward to it immensely. Anyone with any "local" knowledge to share, please do. I will be a solo tourist for a few days and nights!

Thanks,

Malcolm. :salute::

The rate for a shared ride has gone up slightly, to $44.85. A private car is around $60.

Brad - do you arrange for a car in advance, or just get the airport and get one?

Zach -- You can call now to set up your Reservation (1-800-421-0607).
In the years I used to fly in I never had to share a ride and didn't have to wait very long for them to show up at the airport. They email you instructions.

Julie
