At approx. noon EST today the www.treefrogtreasures.com site will go off-line for a bit while we shift to a completely new and revamped web site! We're hoping that this will take a couple hours...but with technology you never know!

This should not impact the forum in any way.

Well, our web guy has a wee bit more work to do to get it up to snuff (as expected, some wonky issues arose!). The old site is back up for now. He'll work on things tonight and perhaps tomorrow we'll give it a go again!!

Is there anything new with the update Peter ?

These things never go smoothly no matter how well you plan. When I switched to my new site last October I was down for almost a day, and was making changes for days. Plus the fact that I had over 3000 items on the site at the time didn't help either.

Well, we're up and live. Whew! It's been quite the last couple days to get things going.

As you use it, let us know if you find anything that seems wonky so we can look into it. We've tested like crazy, but there's always that one little thing...

I think you'll find the site to be in some ways quite similar to our old one, but it's on a much more robust platform that will allow us to build some cool new things in the near future (including a fully mobile version of the site which is not ready yet...one thing at a time).

We now have photos of the items in the shipping cart to help you keep track of what you are getting. The wish list is much better. It all has a more modern look.

Frankly, at this point I'm fried and can't think of all the improved bells and whistles. Off to bed!

I for one love the new site!

Great improvements all around IMO. Very nice.

The only thing I miss is that the old site would list how many of a particular piece you had in stock. That made buying retired pieces easier as I would know which to buy in what order when I had the funds based on how many you had left. Small thing but it was nice.

Overall thanks as I think the site is much better now!

Found another. Selecting Diorama Accessories on the left menu...then in the sub menu with the icons, if you click buildings, it says page not found

A few updates on things...

There was some anxiety that old wishlists were lost. We have now added a link on the wishlist page for people to see what they used to have in the list. We cannot simply copy one over to the other, but at least you can view it and copy it over yourself.

We have also added prices to the items in the wish list.

While the order history only shows what was purchased through this new website, we have all purchase info in our local database. Our database guy is out of town until next week, but we're working to get a neat and simple report that we can e-mail showing every purchase.

Thank you all for your feedback. There are always bumps in the road when making a big change like this, but I think we've kept them to a minimum.

Pete
