TRIVIA---the Luftwaffe JU 52 transport used in WHERE EAGLES DARE and VALKYRIE crashed in the Swiss Alps on August 4, 2018 killing all 20 people on board. The JU-52 was flying with Ju-Air Airlines when it crashed.
IN WHERE EAGLES DARE, the Luftwaffe JU 52's passengers included Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood, Mary Ure and Ingrid Pitt.
The JU 52 also was in Tom Cruise's VALKYRIE
The JU 52 belonged to the Swiss Air Force which kept the movie's Luftwaffe camouflage scheme after it was returned to active duty.
