Hey all, apologies if in the wrong place, but I'm trying to find anywhere/anyone in oz that will repair some damaged paint on an anime figurine collectible,
Anyone know a good place to commission someone for that?
I've emailed many toy sellers etc, but they dont offer paint restoration services, but one suggested I ask on model makers/painters forums for a quote.
It would be a simple: post to you > fix paint > post back, payment upfront, and someone with experience obviously as this is a rare collectible.

cheers for any info :)

An anime figure?

Not to run interference on anyone here, but you might also want to try Planet Figure, www.planetfigure.com/forum, which is a figure painter's forum.

Also, since you're in Oz, you might also try the e2046 Facebook group. e2046 is an online seller of resin anime, fantasy, and sci-fi figure kits, based in Hong Kong. They used to maintain a forum, but closed it down a couple of years ago, in favor of using a Facebook group instead. Everyone in that group is an anime painter and can probably help.

Another forum where you might find someone is the Clubhouse, http://theclubhouse1.net/. That's another forum for sci-fi and fantasy figure modelers, including a good number of anime painters. You might find someone local to you through their forum, too.

Hope that all helps, prosit!

Hi,

I live in Brisbane. I know a number of people who could help you out.

Start off by telling where you live. We can progress from there.

Happy Collecting,

Oberstinhaber.

Awesome, Im in griffith nsw, but its a small item so posting it is no biggie to me.
Here is the problem, a shiny translucent purple overlaying a gradient around the edges from what I can tell, with 2 chips in it, I wouldnt attempt to fix this myself as it's quite a unique paintjob

Thanks mate, I can provide more pics if needed

Here's a video to help show the problem and the other purple sections I would want the head to match again.
