You need to resize pictures. Depending on your photo software you have, it may have a save for email setting.

Dear "ecuriel":

Thanks very much for your reply back to me But, how does one "RESIZE" photos?

I use Lightroom, and there is a setting to export to email.
In Photoshop, resize for web.
What photo software do you use? We go from there.

If you use Windows 7, you can open up the paint program and drag the picture into it and they have a resize button on the top. If you keep it around 95 KB you should be fine.

Gary,

I think you should follow ecuriel's advice and use the paint program.

Most of your photographs are between 800 to 900 kb.

You need to get this down under 97.7 kb in order to upload to the forum.

Good Luck,

Raymond.:)

Are you trying to load a photo into a gallery, or into a post in a forum thread? And is the photo stored only on your machine, or do you use a photo hosting site, like Photobucket or Fotki? If you're trying to load a pic into a thread from a hosting site, you won't need to resize it, you only need to insert the photo's image tag into the text of your post, at the point where you'd like the photo to appear. The image tag will begin with
. Photobucket displays these tags in a box that appears when you mouseover the photo in its album, or next to the photo, if you have selected it from within its album.

If you're loading photos into a gallery here, then resizing does become an issue/option to consider. I'm with the others, I use MS Paint, because it's there.

Hope that helps, prosit!
Brad

Dear Raymond, etal:

Thanks to all of you who have given me information on uploading photos to "The Forum". I will study more on this issue.

If you have Microsoft Office, you should have Picture Vieweror Manager and with that you can resize. That is what I use.
