Now that I have some parts to play with I took a TSSD German WW2 rifleman, dremeled the heck out of him, added some new slings for his cartridge box and sabre /Bayonet Frog, as well as knapsack loops.
Attatched some of the metal parts from my own molds, a Helmet models musket and Bingo! 1812 Russian Grenadier in greatcoat.
That was kind of fun!

Front view, didnt work the 1st time.I have 3 more I have dremeled off the details.Thats the easy part.A TSSD WW2 Russian Standing firing, and A TSSD German advancing firing MP40 from the hip.A lot of work for a few figures but they'll be unique to my collection.

I'll get them all painted, someday. Theres plenty of 1/2 finished converted figs sitting collecting dust on my workbench.

Wadepat, A little skill a little creativety.Mostly just a lot of trial and error over the years.

Making my production molds. 2 failures, one turned out good.More trial and error, learning experiance.I get it 1/2 right. A little flaw in each piece.
Learn from my mistake, try it again.

Fubar,

I recognize that experience plays a very significant role in developing a skill. However, your talent and creativity allow you to display artistry in the toy soldiers you produce. In my opinion, you have boat loads of talent and creativity, as do some others on this forum. Don't sell yourself short. You are really good at what you do! And,...best of all for me...I have the pleasure of seeing your work!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat
