Lots of great threads of pics of the show. How about one showing what everyone picked up this weekend?

I had a great time and picked up a few things myself. It was awesome to see everything in person, internet pics do not do justice to some of the figures and brands out there.

Group pic of everything I picked up.

Oh Lord my descent into Naps has begun!

K&C pieces. The German was the free figure I received at the dinner Saturday night.

Frontline French Arty from the FIW era.

Del Prado pieces. My first time seeing Del Prado in person, I think they are a great deal for the money. They also have a great variety of figures from all eras. Suckers are heavy though! I think more from them will be in my future.

First Legion piece. I have not seen these in person until this weekend. Wow.....the pics on the internet simply do not do them justice. What a incredible line of figures. IMO a step well above K&C, WB, JJD etc in painting.

This is a French Flag I bought from Crown Miniatures. They had a large variety of flags from all countries and eras. They are cloth that is "harden" and just stunning in person. Pics do not do justice.

The figure is for size comparison.

My favorite pick up from this weekend. Alexander Toy Soldiers. Marshall Bertheir with ADC.

The details on the table are great, very hand painted looking but just a great aged looked to them.

Overall I saw much more I wanted than I could afford. First show for me so I will just have to save more money for next year!

What did everyone else pick up?

very nice sets all around Ruggles, looks like you made out very well at the show, thanks for posting...Sammy

You picked up some nice stuff, Ruggles {bravo}}
Congratulations.
Looks and sounds like you enjoyed the show very much.

If you like the F&I War, your pick-up of "Wilderness Empire" is a gem. Great novel of the war, with special insights on the Iroquois League and its English champion Sir Johnson.

Thanks all {sm4}

$3 for Wilderness Empire in hardback, great deal, even better when I now know its a great book. Thanks.

I like the way your collection is going! :) Nice variety of brands! :smile2: I am taking the same approach from now on! :salute::

I believe you are referring to the Monarch Regalia line out of Thailand. Yes, those are very nice and colorful...!!! I have a number of those sets that I bought from Ted over a few shows that I attended in Chicago and Orange County. I wouldn't mind getting some more of those as well... :)

Yes sir that would be the ones. :)

I really liked those as well as the Alexzander Toys glossy pieces, not sure which ones to buy next! Oh the pain of choosing!

I find my collection is getting more and more interesting when I achieve a balance among several manufacturers with different sculpting styles, painting styles, painting types (i.e. matte versus glossy) and historical subject matter. I have been able to create large dioramas, small vignettes and stand alone figures sometimes enhanced alongside a compatible book or a photograph/painting. I also find that non-collectors viewing the collection find it more interesting as well and ask more questions about the figures.

I haven't ventured into smaller scales yet but that could be another option for me soon if I consider starting a new historical period.

There are a lot of choices out there, you just have to seek them out... {sm4}
