Hi everyone...

I think this might be interesting to you...

The interview itself was very good and is worth watching, if you haven't already. Of course, everything Putin said must be taken with a huge grain of salt, and if you knew nothing about Russian history and watched, it's a good idea now to go find some other books on the subject and read them. But it provides insight into his mind, and into the mind of other Russians, whether statesmen or civilians It's important to know these things, not to excuse them, but to understand them better.

Prost!

It's amazing to me how many liberals now support censorship. There was a time when the liberals were champions of free speech. They realized that a fundamental principle of democracy was the ability of everyone including the most objectionable to voice their views. The ACLU would advocate for the right of the KKK to assemble. Now such free speech is viewed as dangerous misinformation and propaganda which should be suppressed instead of debated. Every point of view should be allowed. The outcry about Putin being given a platform to express his views is a sad testament to the age of idiocracy. After all the lies that Americans have been told over the last several decades (e.g. Vietnam, weapons of mass destruction, Afghanistan, Iraq, Russian collusion), we should welcome all points of view. Putin is an amateur compared to what American politicians have done in terms of lies and misinformation.
