Thanks for the heads up, Brad. Hadn't realized that it was Oscar time. Just saw AQonWF the other night. By the way, TCM is showing 'Abe Lincoln in Illinois' at 10:15 tonight. -- AlAl,
I meant to email you but TCM is running its 31 days of Oscar. They've had the original version of All Quiet on the Western Front, Decision at Dawn and Watch on the Rhine (an excellent movie, very gripping). I also have taped Zorba the Greek and Viva Zapata, which I need to find time to watch.

fortunately TCM has a different lineup here in Aust....some good oldies but I would enjoy seeing Notorious and Suspicion again....I think Joan of Paris maybe is a real oldie like The Hunchback of Notre Dame (unless it is the Disney version) ......would not mind seeing some of the old cowboy movies with William Elliot..Tim Holt..Bill Boyd (Hoppy)..Bill Williams...crummy but good...TomB.For those who want to set their DVR or other taping device, TCM has the following on Tuesday:
Hunchback of Notre Dame 615am
Suspicion 815
Joan of Paris 1015 am
The Fallen Sparrow 1215pm (John Garfield)
The Magnificent Ambersons 615 pm
Citizen Kane 815 pm
Notorious 1015 pm
That is some unbelievable lineup.
Thank you.....I think I have seen both movies yrs ago......always liked John Garfield....dont see many of his movies these days.....cheers TomBJoan of Paris from 1942 is about Allied airmen shot down over France trying to escape back to England. It stars Paul Heinreid (Casablanca).
The Fallen Sparrow from 1943 is a spy movie and besides Garfield includes Maureen O'Hara.
