This fall will mark 200 years since the successful US defense of Baltimore and Ft. McHenry. I realize that the War of 1812 is not a "biggie" to toy soldier collectors, but will anybody be producing any sets to mark the occasion?

Evening Binder .... personally I think that the JJD War of 1812 sets are some of the BEST toy soldiers anywhere!
I just got all three of the latest 1812 Marine sets as well as adding to my USCH and BCH sets.

I really hope (and believe) that we will see John make some additions to this range, but maybe not just on Chippewa specifically. I live in Maine and have relatives all throughout New England and Canada, so my interest is HIGH. Lets keep fingers, arms, legs and eyes crossed  that John will come through this year 1814 => 2014!!! -- Larry

Mr.Jenkins revealed his "Chippawa" series sold poorest of all his lines.I am presently working on a 100' long Battle of Lundy's Lane(thousands of troops-many,many one of a kind pieces-every unit on the field 11:00(2300)25 July 1814).Last British assault up the hill and Scott's last 'banzai'-hand to hand combat, ground littered with WIA/KIA troops& horses. Both sides gave as good as they got-militia as well.

Hey Binder,
100 FEET long, did I read that right???? ...... wow I can't wait to see some pictures of your progress and ideas. {sm3} {sm3}. 1000's of troops? You don't mean 1000's of JJD soldiers do you?

I find it strange that the Chippawa Series was not a good seller as. :redface2:

Maybe the USCH series was to a point, but many of the BCH seems a bit difficult to find and the prices in the secondary market are climbing higher. However, I am not to concerned with just the one battle as in all the battles in the war. HIs Marines was a welcomed addition so I am hoping that other regiments, divisions, militia will come some day.

My entire JJD 1812 is rather modest at about 140 +/- USCH figures and about 150 +/- figures for the BCH. And I am trying to figure out where to put those.
