Hi Guys,

Let me join you in praising the work of two collectors…”Charge For The Squares” is another of Steve’s great dioramas utilizing K&C figures and a painting backdrop – I think this might be one of your best, Steve! Over the last couple of years you’ve produced many fine efforts and this particular one is in my Top Five.

“Operation Barbarossa June 1941” is a different style and tells a far different story…But it also makes good use of a simple photo backdrop and just a few K&C figures and an accessory or two. Well done Wayne and congrats to both you and Steve. Enjoy the hobby, have fun and…a very Merry Christmas to one and all!

Great to see a manufacturer providing feedback to a couple of diorama makers. Imagine being the poor loser who put up two K&C dios today and did not get a mention. I hope that he is not one of those needy, high maintenance types desperate for some public recognition!!{sm4}{sm4}

Thanks Andy ! Appreciate the kind words. Makes it all that much more fun and worth while ! I think the horse drawn cart would make a very nice release for the Wehrmacht line up.
Used this one from the Revolutionary war series :wink2:

Andy your kind words are really appreciated. It's always exciting to share these photo dioramas with everyone and listen to their comments. A part of this collecting allows you to recreate in a simple way a moment in history that you have only read about. For many events through out history we have only an oral description of what happened and nothing visual that actually shows the event. A perfect example is D-Day. How many photographs or movies do we have of the landings at Omaha beach? 11 frames of film. Life magazine"s photographer Bob Capa landed in the second wave in Omaha beach with three cameras in water proof bags. Once he was done taking pictures he got back into a landing craft to hand deliver his film to the London Life magazine darkroom. The lab technician in his excitement to see the images turned up the heat in the film dryer and ended up destroying Capa's film, except for 11 frames. That's the visual historical record we have of D-Day. There were four other still photographers and five combat movie cameramen that land on Omaha beach that morning. What happen to there images? Later that day the army came around and collected all the still and movie film, put it in a canvas bag and took it out by LCVP to a ship heading heading back to England to get it all developed. On the climb up the rope cargo net on the side of the ship the bag was accidentally dropped in to the water and it sunk...Toy soldier collecting and building dioramas allows us in a small way the recreate important moments history by using written accounts of an event and our imagination. My hat goes off to Andy and K&C for providing us such a large quality selection of toy soldiers in different historical time periods ranging from the Crusades to the Battle of the Bulge. It allows each of us to interpret history in our own way and have great fun doing it.
Happy Holidays,
Steve

My feelings exactly ! With the ever growing selection of figures, sets coming out it makes it that much more easier and fun to create scenes from our Toy Soldier collections. :salute::

Jack, Yes it is nice to get some positive feedback when posting Dio scenes, Of course the more well thought out setups getting the most recognition. This was the first time for me that Andy himself chimed in which was
much appreciated ! Happy Holidays !
