Just saw two recent movies about the Dark Continent, both in the French language and subtitled in English.
The first Black and White in Colour. An enjoyable funny movie about WWI in Africa involving a small French outpost.

The second "White Material" is a rather bleak movie about a French family's attempt to save their coffee plantation in a rapidly disintegrating African nation state. Colonialism, child soldiers, corruption are touched upon in this movie.
