I thought you might like to see a recent photo Hiriart sent me of two new special commission sets I had ordered from them in 2012. They are have just been painted and are waiting to be tied to their tiecards and boxed. The seven sets on the left are World War I Force Publique, Belgian Congo, 1914 and the three on the right are World War II Hungarian Infantry, 1941.

Love , the Hiriart WW2 Hungarian infantry !! As we have talked about before , would be nice to see K&C do some Hungarian , Romanian or Bulgarian infantry...

Thanks Joe. Although I have known Andy for years, I have absolutely no influence over him regarding what he will make. That is not the case regarding Guillermo Hiriart who has been very accomodating to all my special commission requests. However, I hope you do ultimately get some K&C Eastern Front German satellite troops. I would love to see them, too.

This is a prototype from a third special commission set still in production for me and five other collectors. The set will be World War I Portuguese Colonial Infantry, Mozambique. The set will have two different heads for the men (as opposed to the officers). This is a sergeant with a beard that has been partially painted; he is waiting for the buttons, metals, and stripes.

Here are the six special commission World War I Portuguese Colonial Infantry, Mozambique sets that I ordered sitting on a shelf in Uruguay waiting to be tied into their boxes today. Also partially visible is a new World War I Turkish Infantry in action set, wearing khaki.
