Hello everyone,

Back from Chicago, we are ready to officially post the pictures of the 2 new limited editions.

HB35 - US medic team. Limited series of 70.

The sets will be shipped from here in 3 weeks, and you can pre-order them from your favorite Honour Bound dealer.

Thanks,

Ana

Hi Ana,

Interesting sets. :)

Is it possible to get a picture from the opposite side of each set?

excellent looking sets Ana.

i'm a bit puzzled by the SS camo helmet cover on 1 of the flamethrower soldier, as the collar rank tabs on the uniforms are whermacht.

if this this is 4th SS Polizei Division, (which uses Whermacht tabs) perhaps the SS polizei insignia should have been included.

saying that, i'm very impressed with both sets and had already preordered both.

can't wait for the winter medic and winter radio teams, and hopefully the size concern has been addressed and there'll be new late war SS troops in the future.

sincerely,

nasir kasmani.

Nasir,

None of them is SS, they are all wehrmacht. The fact that one of them is using SS camo is incidental, but it happened.

Yes, I'd be interested to see what kind of flamethrower the other guy has as well (hopefully the large single tank one for diversity). So far the double tank looks accurate (unlike K&Cs), and I like the inclusion of other sturmpioneer equipment like the waterwing grenade bags on the pointing guy and engineer backback (and potentially pouches) on the far left guy.

I agree with Nasir about the helmet cover being problematic though. It's doubly a problem because if that is supposed to be pea dot camo (which it definitely seemed to be in the pics from Chicago), well there was no such thing as a factory made pea dot helmet cover during WW2.

Thanks for the heads-up Nasir, didn't see that post.

-Both sets look very well done. Since I am not too interested in medic sets (despite the great dog!) I will again focus on the German set:

-Both flamethrowers are the double tank version which is fine, they look very accurate.
-They guy motioning with his arm is indeed wearing the special engineering side pouches, though there should be a large pocket flap on the right pouch, a detail which seems to be missing.
-The guy pointing (wearing the camo zeltbahn) is wearing a Mauser C96 pistol in its wooden holster (see pic below) on his belt which is a neat touch.

All in all, this is probably the best (and basically only) German engineer set on the market. It is not without its minor flaws, and I might have liked a slightly more dynamic pose with the flamethrowers, but still an excellent offering. An add-on set featuring a mine sweeper team, a guy planting mines or explosives, and a guy with wire cutters would be neat.

excellent review and suggestion CS.

it would be great if HB will consider a Pioneer set, like the one mentioned in your last sentence.

Thanks for the pics Ana.

I like the looks of both sets. Well done.
