Another poll, this time asking collectors which kind of soldiers and vehicles they would like to see made, which would fit in amazingly well with their dioramas:)

Once again, please explain why you have chosen your choice, as 9 times out of 10 it leads to interesting reading:)

Sorry, mate, this post will be the 1 in 10 that doesn't make for interesting reading :(

I chose American Revolution, because it's one of the time periods I model/collect, so I've always got my eyes open for new products.

There's a wealth of figures for the period, of course, but specifically for dioramas, I think of larger pieces, like buildings, along the lines of the backdrop pieces K&C has made for its various series.

The most extensive set that comes to mind is the Colonial Classics series from Frontline; I think that they're currently out of production, but I may be wrong. But that series included some great buildings to model a typical American town circa 1776.

But, when there's not much to be found, commercially, we scratch!

Prost!

Was actually quite interesting to read mate:)

Thanks! And congrats on making it into the officer class (I posted a little something over there) :D

I agree with you, it's interesting to see the "why" behind the choices everyone makes in the polls.

Prosit!
Brad

Generic scenic/diorama pieces is something K&C seem to be perfectly able do do excellently, something that is really needed to go with their excellent figures: these are just dying to get some realistic soil under their feet, trenches, buildings. Others do it very well too, but not always to K&C's scale, more variety is needed I guess (IMHO).

Scenic pieces for ww2 should have been listed but i guess thats a given

a good poll scott
I hope that andy something does whit this poll .

richard .

I chose general pieces that can be used in more than one time period for lack of a WWI option. I'd really like to see trenches, K&C had great custom displays at the West Coaster and in the last Collector.

In lieu of that, I have to say the new desert village looks like it could be used in multiple eras and will probably be my next scenic purchase.

I voted for the D Day destroyed vehicles but would have also voted for the German version as well if given the chance. These always make a dio seem more realistic. Several years ago, K & C made three different destroyed vehicles and they were very nice. I also know that Buildarama had a destroyed Sherman as did K & C and HB with a Panther. More and varied would be a good addition.

Right now I am in a mood of Crusaders & Saracens, so my vote was to Templares Monks

Cheers.

Yes, WWI is really what I had in mind right now.

Thanks mate:)

I tried to appeal to all ranges of collectors, so as not to be biased to just WW2:)

Hopefully Andy getrs some ideas from this:)

Brad, I meant to click the Multiple Choice Poll, but forgot:eek:

Sorry, I think this way it helps if Andy needs to know what collectors would like but:)

I understand that some people on this Forum enjoy every range, and that because of their fellow collector's favouratism of certain periods, they vote for all options:)

The one choice limitation really makes this unrepresentative I am afraid. I didn't notice until after I voted so mine was a complete throw away.

Medics every time suprisingly!

But come to think of it some more polystone wrecks would be good for axis & allies.
The scenics are good too, a new Normandy village or dutch town.
The possiblities are endless.

I forgot what about adding in special forces, small scale raiding forces.
Bring on the commandos in canoes.

Hi
Another good poll - I voted for more diorama sets - However I do believe that given the option many would have picked more than one item. I personally would like to see more facades covering a wide range of time scales. Another item would be civilians and camp followers. Even in the ruins of Berlin the streets had their fair share of dead and wounded and what army of any nation did not have their own camp followers. :)

hi great poll i voted for blown up/ damaged WW2 vehicles i love the wounded sherman from the battle of the bulge series so if king & country released something like that but for there D-Day or 8th Army series (preferably british versions) id definitely buy some.

i would have also voted for wounded soldiers & medics if you could of voted for more then 1 option & WW2 scenics aswell

Chaps

I fancy some Napoleonic infantry building earth works , French and British, with engineer officers overlooking them. Also camp equipment , fires , tents , supply wagons .

Cheers Bellerophon.:)
