Hats off to Brian and team from Collector's Showcase! She's a real beauty.

Here's a first shot of the U-96 as it makes its way into my King & Country Submarine Bunker.

I snapped this shot in lower light with my camera phone. More pictures coming soon...

Now we just need the front and rear sections. Should we start a petition?

You captured it in it's best light WO. If this does not sell it for those sitting on the fence, nothing will. A very nice layout all round. Robin.

Fantastic photos Robin!!!! The Sub with the K&C sets go greet together!! Looking forward to some more photos when you have the time.

Amazing scene !

Great photograph.

Congratulations on a wonderful acquisition.

Thank you.

Rob, Really like how you used the new sub in a "Commando Attack" scenario. Outstanding ! {bravo}}

Here's a second shot, this time of the front end. Lots of excitement on this U-96!

Appreciate the comments Robin. Those of you who are waiting, I would not wait too long. I really wanted to finance this "bad boy" over several months but I feared that certain pieces and/or figures may be sold out once starting the monthly plan. Having purchased most of my K&C Kriegsmarine collection from 2nd hand sellers, I did not want to go down the more pricey route once again.

Thank you Sam - Most of my collection is K&C but the scale and style is not too different. I also snuck in a few Thomas Gunn Kriegsmarines as well.

Amazing scene ! Great photograph. Congratulations on a wonderful acquisition.
Thank you Ivanhoe. While she is an expensive piece, I think it will be a long time before we see another U-Boat of this variety in 1/30 scale metal/resin.

Thanks Wayne,
I've always liked K&C's commandos and canoe. Thought it would add a bit of excitement to the scene.

Hope you all like the images! I'm sure we'll see even better ones down the road.

Got to say, loving Western Outlaws photos. We sent international orders a week ago one of our avid collectors in the UK just dropped me an e-mail. Thought I'd share it, its just heartwarming after all the work and toil to bring the model to market to hear:

" Hello Brian just a little email to say I've got my u boat it looks absolutely fantastic I've spoke English for nearly 48 years and I've not got words or vocabulary to describe how pleased and overjoyed with your model im so pleased I car to describe how good it is brilliant model please keep bringing out more fantastic figures and models thanks once again- gordon "

Just awesome to hear, thanks much Gordon!! We're currently sold out but are collecting pre-orders for the final 100 due in in two months time. Should we start talking add on sections ? ;)

Cheers!

Brian

Thank you Brian. My pleasure to share pictures of a splendid addition to my collection. It's also nice to hear the positive feedback you shared from the UK.

Regarding the potential for the front and rear add-on sections, my suggestion:

Offer two add-on sets.

1) A set that includes the front and rear sections
2) A small black raft with some German or Allied figures in battle/action poses

I think that anyone who has purchased this sub in its entirety would certainly spend a little extra to finish it off.

In any case, WELL DONE! :salute::

Good to see TCS getting good marks on these.I always like to see ALL the TS companies do well.

Rob; a top view photo would be great. The deck gun looks very realistic. The three sections seem to fit together very well!

Okay; I'll snap one during the day when I have some better light. I received the frame today so will be moving to a more permanent home.

Very nice photo Rob! The details of the deck grills and vents are very well done. The overhead photo really brings all the features together. I agree the subsections work well together and the frame is a nice display option. Brian has really done an excellent job with this model and I think it is in the same class as the Figarti Shock & Awe models. I think making the add on sections needed for a full model will take it to the ultimate level of realism.

That is sooooo cool
'' KV's bite of approval!

It looks to match rather well with the K&C Jetty sections too for a rather versatile scene!

The wife and I just got back from the Baltic (a cruise)... ported in Kiel for a day and had a chance to go over to Laboe to see the U-Boat memorial, but the weather was lousy.

Snapped some pix of the U-Boat pens in Bordeaux earlier in the summer when we were road tripping around France...I'm having trouble getting them to attach right now.

I'd echo the sentiment about a front and rear section, but with my South Carolina education, at 1:30 that's a model about 88 inches long (probably shorter as some of the overall length of the Type VIIC would be submerged). Minus the center section already produced; two sections close to 30 inches each in length...probably hard for the average collector to display. I'm still intrigued by the idea, though!

Thank you all for following this topic and for the nice comments.

Here's a new shot of the Captain, a very nice figure I might add!

EDIT: Now when might we see this U-Boat finished off with front and rear sections?
