Where I got these figures

http://www.ourminithings.com/people.htm

The figures are sold by a shop called Mini Things in Gettysburg, PA at the great price of $5.50 each. They have ACW and AWI figures in stock but can get others. The figures are approximately 54mm in height. This is what one of the owners replied to my inquiry about the figures:

"Our soldiers are not a brand name. However, they are hand painted and we are very proud of the quality. We buy from a wholesaler within driving distance so we save on shipping which can be considerable for metal figures. The ones we have on our site is just a fraction of what is available, so if your fellow collectors prefer resin soldiers or larger ones we can get them. We always have the ones on our site in stock but can usually get others fairly quickly.
We also have a very nice cannon in the miscellaneous section. Again, we always have the Napoleon cannon in stock but can get many others."

These are great folks to do business with and the figures would be an economical way to start a collection for young collectors.

Here is the Cannon mentioned below available for $6.00

Made of metal in shades of copper, brass, and iron, this replica of the 1857 Napoleon Cannon is scaled to fit our metal soldiers. It is 3 1/2 x 2 inches and has movable parts. This is a replica of the cannon sponsored by Emperor Louis Napoleon of France in the 1850's. By the time of the battle of Gettysburg, the Napoleon cannon was the most widely used cannon for both sides.

They're reminiscent of King-White (Reeves) figures. Nicely done.

Prost!
