Earlier today Jack and I were shown around behind the scenes in the Qld Museum in Brisbane.

Mainly shown the storage area where they had a lot of Aboriginal artifacts, old furniture, radios, household items etc.

However on display in the storage area was a very unique diorama portraying the early convict days. The diorama was made by a taxidermist who used to drive around and display it with other similar ones.

Images to come from Jack.

One of the lowlights was when discussion moved to how the Museum was going to commemorate the centenary of WW1. Hopefully Brett does not play cards because he has no 'poker face'. When we were were told that the Museum was going to concentrate on the Home Front, he rolled his eyes, let out a loud sigh and said 'great'.

If they want more of those "convicts" for the display, then I can supply many of them "ex Queenslanders" from up here! ^&grin

Yes ... but we don't eat them in Queensland the way they do up north!

It was a good morning - very interesting and Brett's display looked good. He even let me get a photo of him standing in front of it. {sm4}{sm4}

I was looking for Jack in there but just couldn't find him! ^&grin

Yes toads do have some use once in awhile apart from jaffle filling in Darwin :wink2:, the scene reminds me of the movie 'O brother where art thou?'

I wish they knew how to read a map and stayed in the Sunshine State!
