I was at the Hobby Bunker yesterday in the flea market room. I picked up two old Cliff Sanderson Fall of Rome figures out of a box of unpainted metal figures. There's a box of Roman and Gaul metal kits there as well for a $1.00 each. Scale look like a smallish 54mm. If you like to paint AND you like some numbers in your collection, check them out.

I also picked up a single figure from Conte's Spartacus series for 12.00. Those figs including Romans are in the store back glass cases.

You find a lot of the Sanderson Romans on eBay, too, both originals and copies--they've been copied by a lot of homecasters. There's a fellow in Canada who sells them on eBay, along with copies of other figures.

They're nicely animated, as are the pirate figures (which are also widely copied).

Prost!

I've seen the pirated pirates and others.

My converted Sanderson pirates were banned, actually hidden, at a local collector show by the organizers 30 years ago. I sure wish they had told me first. I thought they were stolen from the table.

There's a Roman family fleeing figure set that I got for a buck that will be converted to fleeing CW era people in night clothes.
