I'm so psyched for this release, I just snagged a WWI version of the Bolero Jacket, Vest (Gilet) and Sash from an Algerian Tirailleurs uniform (I already have the spats and the fez, so I just have to find a white Sarouel (baggy pants) to complete the unfiform. I also have the Steiff WWI era doll of a matching Turco:

First Legion will always be above the rest, with their sculpts, painting, etc.. Long before this year.. They always taken February off, So that kills any chances this month. And their prices are getting high out there where they might have out priced the greater demand in their earlier years, and I will forever love the Normandy Sherman, German Halftrack. Winged Lancers etc .from them, But they have outpriced my comfort level on spending on a hobby, I hope they will last.. Not be another Figarti, Conte, Honor Bound.. I really do hope that..

There is no ETA on these as of yet, Constantine posted the image on a FB page to show the upcoming release, no clue as of yet as to when they will be released, Matt will update the dealers in due time.

These are absolutely amazing. I agree with NZ Gary. These need to be paired with TM Franco Prussian figures

I agree. I already paired the Team and First Legion Franco Prussian War French Infantry together, and they work very well. I intend to do the same with these excellent Turcos.
Louis, can you post a comp photo, please? I would be interested in doing that as well.

Yes, when it comes to affordable diorama materials, it is hard to beart Hudson & Allen or TM Terrain. I am waiting on 8 more H&A moduler bases and a custom TM Terrain French Church and Churchyard to complete my Franco Prussian War set up.
The piano is from an old Frontline Glossy Glenn Miller U.S. Army Swing Band set. I just grabbed stuff to make the barricade from all over my collection, but the piano was George's (Warrior's) idea.

Its quite amazing that Fl and Tm are coming out with the same regiment at the same time. Price wise i will go with Tm and might add one or 2 FL. With Tm its basically 2 for the price of 1 FL... But these figures are great.

I pre-ordered all of the Team Miniatures, and the officer, NCO, drummer boy, trumpeter, trooper with the banner on his bayonet, and the kneeling reloading figures from First Legion. I think the 8 H&A modular bases and two more H&A backdrops will be shipped out to me next week. I am still waiting to see photos of the completed TM Terrain church and churchyard. Trust me, as things arrive I will post updated photos!:salute::
