This is from Andrew Morrill at K&C:

Andy thought the guys at the forum might like to see this advanced copy of an article we are running in this quarter’s ‘COLLECTOR’. It talks about Andy’s first visit to the Old Toy Soldier Show in Chicago.

The files are a bit large, but you need to be able to read it!

OK, so the pictures of the soldiers in the flyer are nice, but where oh where is the picture of Andy in the kilt!!

KV - I'm sure you want to see it!

Great story on your first Chicago Show, Andy. For me the best part of the show every year is hanging out with you and the rest of the guys I only see at the big shows like Gordon, Steven Chong, Bob Fisher and Bill Hurlbutt.

Andy is that the original Summer 1984 color flyer? I have the December 1984 Flyer and some black and white adverts from June and July 1984, but I've never seen the first color flyer.

Is the Khaki Tunic you wore the one depicted in the 1988 Flyer with the cavalry regiments and the Zulus? You can answer me at the show next week. See you there!

Cheers Peter:

Many thanks for posting the story. Over the years I have heard fragmentes stories of the K&C Genesis-this article pulled the success story all together and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you.

Andy,

Great article. Just reading it made me excited to get to Chicago for 2007!

Just got Issue No. 18 in the mail today from Hong Kong. Very nice and thick. I must say it covers everything.

Plus a ton of flyers. The one that has the Fallschirmjager has the cool looking windmill diorama on the back of it. It looks awesome in this close up shot.

The one on the Desert War is a few pages. All of them look great. I'll give them a read tonight.
