Britains posted on FaceBook a preview pic of the upcoming Shermans:

"Here is a pre-view of the new US M4A3 large hatch 75mm armed Shermans coming your way soon. There will be at least three variants in markings, stowage and minor details in the vehicles in the short term, followed by other versions. To set this photo up we used a few of the new GIs due in next week, our upcoming Czech Hedgehogs, a Hudson & Allen destroyed factory and cobblestone road, a Scenics-to-Go base and one of our backdrops. We will be listing it for pre-order on our website at the end of next week. I will also post a few more pictures here when I return to the office next week…I hope you enjoy it"

Best wishes to you on this forthcoming release. It looks like a lovely model.

Cheers,
Grey

Thanks for posting. However, it looks too clean. Perhaps it will look better in color photos.

That was my initial though as well. Is this how they are going to be produced? I can always weather mine up myself if I get one.

Great to see the new Sherman and kudos to W. Britain for bucking the German Armor trend and making some Allied vehicles 😎

Like others have said, I’m curious to see color pics as the tank definitely looks too clean in the B&W pic. While I’ve got a bit of experience weathering model tanks, one shouldn’t have to on a model like this… The recent German Flak 36 guns and U.S. M5 AT gun from W. Britain were decently weathered and painted, so hopefully the Sherman is done along similar lines.

Either way, I definitely plan on getting a couple of these (and the figures as well) as I definitely need some U.S. tanks in proper 1/30 scale!

Easy 8 Fury in works?

Likewise an M4 Calliope?

M8 Greyhound as last version some years ago was woeful?

Ken posted a color picture with some more info:

"I have had several requests to see our new M4A3 Sherman tank in color. Include with this vehicle (25136) is a full commander figure as pictured and two interchangeable stowage packs for the rear. The stowage on the front plate is fixed to the model, and the drivers hatch is functioning so a driver figure can be placed in that position from our add-on set of WWII U.S. tankers which will also be released very soon."

The Sherman in all of its variants is the quintessential US made tank of WWII. Over 49,200 various forms were made. Over 2/3's of the inventory were manufactured in Michigan: primarily welded hull style versions at the GM owned Fisher Tank facility in Grand Blanc near Flint, the Chrysler owned Detroit Tank Arsenal in Detroit and some at Ford 's Highland Park plant. I am partial to the model designated M4A1 of which just over 6200 copies were built mostly in Lima Ohio (home of where the current US M-1 Abrams tanks are made) that featured the 75mm gun, a cast hull and the Continental radial engine. I hope WB cranks out that model. Just a suggestion.

Very nice looking tank. Definite purchase for me.

This photo is better. Thanks Steve.

Thanks. I saw this picture on Facebook. Very impressive and noted the extra features. Will be popular. Well done WBritains.

Cheers,

I am curious about the price if Ken or Ericka would like to share although I’m sure we will find out soon enough. It will probably be expensive but then what isn’t these days. Hopefully, it’s a success and leads to more Allied armor, which seems to be a rare bird these days.

This photo shows 25136 with a few of the extra figures on foot that are also being released to use with various U.S. vehicles. The tanker in the hatch (Full figure) comes with the first version of our M4A3, and notice that the drivers hatch is operational so a driver can be added from our add-on crew set of three figures with accessories. All of these sets are currently in production and we will be updating our website with pricing soon. My apologies to the dealers that we are still playing catch-up with updates after being in Europe for 10 days, but we got some great information for new items in the pipeline.

Our next issue of the Standard has a nice article on the M4A3 by David Doyal and another on armor/infantry communications during WWII. By the way, the figure closest to the hull is another new club figure for 2023.
All the best,
Ken Osen

Any update on pre-order date? Secondly in addition to Shermans as described, an Easy eight, M8 etc on cards?
