I don't know if I am missing something but I tried to go on line to look at how one pre-orders upcoming releases from Britain's. (I am aware of the on going issues re delivery times.) My usual point of contact www.britains-soldiers.com does not appear to be there anymore and Bachmann are distributors and site asks you to search for a retailer. Does anyone know of a UK based retailer with a facility to pre-order, or any other way round this issue.? I looked some of the sites for UK based retailers but did not spot this service.

Though the above is not world ending it is amazing how you can get annoyed with a system you know and have used stops.
Many thanks in expectation.

Hello

The UK Williams Britains website and office is no more, it has closed. You can order straight from the US, but I would suggest contacting Magpies in Evesham, they sell WBs and do send them through the royal mail. Good service, but pre ordering from them for me is a waste of time, you might as well wait for them to be delivered and then order or ask Magpies just to tell you when they are in and then order them.

I have been ordering britains at MKL for a long time
and I keep doing that.:salute::

It is a shame, I am in Australia and always found UK branch in particular dealing with Katie fantastic, always replied and assisted. The US branch never respond to queries etc. The wrong branch was closed

Hi,

Many Thanks for the replies. The companies mentioned are known to me, however the responses do however confirm my original thoughts that I, should I want to continue to buy Britain's figures, one will need to search individual stores to check if new releases are available in the UK. Once again thanks everybody for the responses.

Sometimes new developments do not impress as progress/a better customer experience. Although a buyer of Britain's I never joined the Collectors Club and having seen the costs under the new system there is no chance of me joining now. Hope the people at the UK site still have jobs, or quickly get new ones.

Hi,
I have been in the "Collectors club" for several years and by and large have enjoyed the experience. However, I have not renewed this year due to the complete downgrading of the UK as a player and also ironically the original home of Britains. Although previously in the collectors club, I NEVER ordered any standard figures directly from them. As already mentioned in this thread I purchased most WB figures from Magpies of Evesham, just ask for Neil Parker who is their soldier guy (they also do antiques, jewellery, etc.) you get good service and most orders qualify for free P &P in the UK. On two previous "live" visits I got a warm welcome and also good recommendations for places to visit and where to go for lunch. I usually visit London once a year and try to catch the London show where most WB can be purchased I find it easy to pick up previous pieces I missed first time round. I would also recommend a visit to the Guards toy soldier shop at the edge of Wellington barracks on Birdcage walk who stock most WB products. Although most of this won't be news to Treefrogers, its always worth another mention.

Cheers,
Johnboy.

Just received my 2018 ollectos Club figure - the Waffen SS Grenadier Kharkov 1943, very nice figure it is. Bachman's last hurrah! Still debating whether to join the new Collectors Club. Perhaps there might be some information re UK dealers at the March Toy Soldier show.
