April, Berlin Germans, May Berlin Russians, June U.S. Paras & Rangers, now is where I need help.
I,ve heard more BOB Germans, Desert warfare figures, Napolianic Artillary, Dunkirk, even more Arneim. So what,s up?

I haven't heard anything about Napoleonic (although that's not my collecting interest), Dunkirk or Arnhem but in June, there will be more British (including Canadians) with vehicles and BOB Gemans will be coming out in December. I've also heard that later this year there will be more Africa (don't know if British or German or both).

I think a poll would not be a bad idea, especially if Andy or other dealers will be looking at this from time to time. If we get enough people here and can give some meaningful numbers, I think Andy might take note of that.

A Desert Mk V Panther would be nice. But why not attempt a Kettengrad to compliment all the motocycle/sidecar combos over the years? Or revisit the kubelwagen or schwimwagen? One can get overly "tanked up" and sometimes its nice to have a variety of vehicles to contrast with the figures.

I heard through a dealer I'm friendly with that Andy was thinking of cutting back some on the tanks because he's concerned that people will buy Forces of Valor and 21st Century Tanks because they're cheaper and almost as look as good. As for me, once you've had a K & C tank, anything else is a pale substitute.

I agree.True K&C collectors won't jump ship that easy.Once your hooked you don't settle for a substitute.My feelings from talking to other K&C collectors.We are a bread apart from others.

SF Vehicles Cut Back

I heard through a dealer I'm friendly with that Andy was thinking of cutting back some on the tanks because he's concerned that people will buy Forces of Valor and 21st Century Tanks because they're cheaper and almost as look as good. As for me, once you've had a K & C tank, anything else is a pale substitute.

Andy mentioned to me once that he was leaving the modern vehicles like the few he did for his Special Forces line to Forces of Valor but I can't imagine he would cut back on WWII vehicles--they're his speciality.

Andy told me he will be making . . .

At the recent New York Symposium, Andy told me that he would be making (1) the small SdKf 250 "Grief" (German for antellope) half track that was Rommel's vehicle, (2) he would be making a Ketinkrad (half track motorcycle), (3) a Canadian "Staghound" armored car, (4) a Canadian Bren Gun Carrier, (5) yet another Whitman Tiger (the one he used to wipe out that British armored collumn days before his death), (5) a Marder (a gun mounted in an open turret on a Czech Tank chassie) and (7) he was considering making (a) Limited edition Resin & Metal versions of some of the more unusual vehicles that would be master painted, numbered and signed by Andy (and therefore very expensive), and (b) more polystone warbirds, but with pilots, groundcrew, vehicles, and diorama materials like he used to make to go with the old wood warbirds. If you would be interested in getting Andy to act on the two "maybe" options, don't hesitate to email him -- one thing I have always noted about Andy, he will find the time to produce stuff that is both (a) profitable and (b) interesting to him. Let him know you will buy stuff he is considering making and he is much more likely to make it.

Hey Louis if this is true these releases will be great.Finally some Canadians.Sorry guys but I've been watching everyone else get toy soldier representation and us Canucks were taking a back seat.Yes I admit it I'm one of those. I guess this will be Wittmann Tiger #222 Villers Bocage if it happens.I guess that opens the door for a Sherman Firefly.In regards to the special sets,price will be a factor to me.I'd have a hard time paying more than $200-300 for one special piece.If it did happen I would have to really pick and choose because I would probably only purchase one or two total.

I think he also said at the Symposium that he would making some unpainted soldiers so hobbyists could paint them the way they wanted to.

For dioramas ,forces come a close second I am K+C buff but availability detail and price sould not be overlooked their king tiger for example merits mention..
