Just curious if anyone out there has ever taken the time to create any of these paper model sets? I did the medieval town a few years back. It was quite enjoyable. The paper is very durable and rigid. All of the pieces are beautifully illustrated and the directions are A++ to follow. It would be nice if they included perhaps some period notes in the set but oh well.

Anyone out there ever taken a stab at them besides me? They are approximately 10-12 mm in size. Would love it if they were in the 54-60mm range!! ^&grin

Anyway, a fantastic history project to do with the kids. The subject matter is mostly ancient material- build this Roman Villa, Build a Greek Temple, etc. One I never did was build a Viking village.

Never heard of them before........but a quick Google and they look pretty neat !! Says they are about ho/oo scale. You could take the cutout pieces to a copy shop and have them blownup. There is a castle and a cathedral that would be of interest to me in 1:32 scale.

that's a great point Scott-
That's not a bad idea at all because the buildings do look fantastic. When I wargamed with 15mm stuff, these buildings worked excellent.

They do the medieval castle- I used to have that one. They also did a port with a Rennasance style ship.

The medieval town/village is the one to score though- the buildings could be used with any time period for Western Europe.

Brit,
Thats a great idea! I would like to add to the paper buildings I used on my 30mm napoleonics the blow up and print might do very well, I'm going to try it.

I use to wargame 25mm, Normans, Saxons, and Vikings and such and used cardboard castles from a German company. A friend showed me how to construct these models to last by using clear scotch tape on the tabs you were instructed to glue together. Once they are covered you then use super glue (cyanoacrylate) to attach them without having to use white glue which takes forever to dry. You then have a very durable card model. I would then mount on a pressboard base and decorate with flock and such. This system worked great for all my table top wars. I still have all my gaming figures, Ral partha, Citadel, etc.. but due to computer gaming, no one to battle with anymore:(

Cheers
