It looks as if Matt hit us with two more awesome figures! The British command set should be out of this world when it is finished. I can't wait to see the painted figures.

Wow ,they nailed old Wellesley . No hiding his most famous feature here . I remember reading of a boastful veteran saying " The site of his long nose among us was worth 10,000 men any day of the week " and boy did First Legion knock it out of the park with this one . Great sculpt All the best Gebhard
In the Workbench text you say these will be shipping in July, 2010. Does that mean the Pre-ordering pictures will be posted in mid June?
Two super figures!! Love the idea of having a large mounted grouping of the British staff. Thank you for releasing these as single units. It makes buying and collecting them so much easier, easier on my wallet that is. That also means you might continue to add to this grouping in the future.
Two excellent choices to pair with Uxbridge. I will have to break down and get all three British mounted generals now. Vandeleur is a great choice and one I actually guessed correctly.
Vandeleur is also notabe for leading his brigade against the Lancers to cover the Union retreat, screening the army at Quatre-Bras as well as taking control of the entire British Cavalry when Lord Uxbridge was injured. He is quite a fascinating choice since he was a Light Division regimental commander in the Peninsula. So he is both an infantry and cavalry commander
Thanks Matt! Wellington looks like a great sculpt! That one for sure, is on my midsummer's dream list... Will look great with yours, mine and ours Uxbridge.
Glad to see you are using the workbench area again to preview future releases. Almost all the older groups of future figures have been released then removed, only the French Cuirassiers and Brunswicks remain. If you hadn't started adding something new, soon there would have be no pictures in the workbench area.
If you feel that showing new items too soon results in the competition stealing First legions ideas.
Might I suggest you use the workbench area to show additional photos of things already announced, like the American Revolution figures. Use it to show different views of the same figures. Close ups of the new Federal cavalrymen or the back views of the British figures.
