Variations on a Korean War Display with the TGM Marines (1 Viewer)

I recently got the Thomas Gunn Korean War USMC figures (Korea001A-004A) and they are very nice!

For the past couple weeks, I’ve been playing around with different variations on the same display using different armored vehicles to see which would “stick” best for the scene. I’ve tried the Collectors Showcase M26 Pershing (CS00710) and M4E8 Sherman (CS00459) as well as a K&C M24 Chaffee tank (DD092). All are period-correct vehicles for the Korean conflict. I think I’m leaning toward the TCS M26 Pershing as these were extensively used by the USMC... What does everyone else think?

On reflection if it was me, I would get a second terrain board so I could display both and use the next TG releases to make up the numbers. {sm4}, Robin.

That’s actually a good idea! I’ve got enough left of the snow mat base (from JG Miniatures) to do another frame... Perhaps one with the Pershing, another with the Sherman

Looking good Tman. Love your board/frame scenes. While I've always liked Sherman tanks, I think the TCS M26 Pershing looks really good as you've pictured. The Chaffee also works well (and is not as large). I also look forward to seeing what TG offers for this theme. You certainly can't go wrong with creating a larger scene as mentioned.

BTW, I really like that little ruined building you've added. Would make the perfect hiding place for a N. Korean sniper.

Yep Robin's come up with a great solution. You can then have your cake and eat it !
