Has anyone seen this film (or even heard of it)?

Its a silent film which puts me off buying it but apparently from the few reviews there are about it there are some good battles scenes with lots of extras and French and German troops as well for a change!

Hello, M'lud! I've never seen it, it doesn't quite sound like my cup of tea (billed as a comedy, but I think I'd rather see a drama about the subject), but the comments at the IMDb seem to be overwhelmingly positive:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0237152/

If you do get it, please let us know how it is and what you think!

Prosit!

I'd not seen the IMDB comments and I like the fact someone moaned there are overly long battle scenes (because you can never have a battle scene go on to long)!!!

Like you Brad a silent comedy is not my thing on this subject either and if this had been a drama I think I would have snapped this up, as it is I think I would rather put the money towards another figure! ;) :D

The only place I can see this DVD for sale is Amazon.com for $16.99.

I agree. If the costumes and battle scenes are well researched, it might be worth it to have as a reference of sorts, but I agree on the priority.

Maybe you could see if your local video store has it available as a rental, and rent it, to see what you think.

Prost!
Brad
