Hello,
I have a set of WW1 German soldiers that is from unknown origin. They were made during WW1 and when I found the old dust cover box in a drawer, a note inside said "melt down for good luck" which means this set was carried around by a german soldier that somehow survived being melted in a pot for "Good luck". I would like to know what kind of value it has because I can't find anything like it anywhere. I am not sure how many survived the war but I can't find much history behind them either. I am willing to sell once I find a price that I think it's worth. These have a long story behind them and I'm very proud of them. Just start showing me what they are worth or you can try "bidding" if you would like them for your collection. They are flats and here is the link for the picture. http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb213/Warhawk101/GermanWW1soldiers.jpg

These castings were not made during wwl. they are Zymac molds which you can still buy and cast. They are not "old German Flats" which are smaller and thinner. These molds are semi-round and 56mm. The set can be purchased from Castings in Washington state and other dealers under the name German Marching Band. Leadmen

Nice try Bill to bad you won't make a 'huge' proofit from selling these flats
