Hi Andy as the range expands, a couple of ideas of figures I'd like to see produced and hopefully enough others would too.

A Vietnamese girl riding pillion on a scooter / motorbike, half turned round firing a pistol at Marines.

A Marine fixing Claymores into position with an extra base with ones already ready. Perhaps another figure blowing them.

Laying, kneeling, running Marines with M60's Perhaps even one on a tripod with crew.

A new accessories pack with M16's M60's etc

Steve

Also how about a wounded Marine being carried by his buddies in a poncho instead of a stretcher.

Some Marine casualties along with VC / NVA as well.

Steve

nice ideas Steve! a Marines with an M14 or a Grease Gun would be fun! but Andy is still working on a few surprises for the Vietnam series, including a sniper I think! maybe we'll see more on the Texas show next week ????

Hi Harrie.

Hopefully the Sniper figure will be like that one.

Could do with a couple of Marines using the M72 LAW on that guy's back, say like kneeling aiming / firing one and another kneeling extending the tube to make it ready for firing.

Some excellent ideas Guys...But I think We've beat you to it!
Our sniper will not be like the one you suggested ...might even be better...
And our 2x Marines with LAW's will definitely Please you.
All the best,
Andy.

Excellent, these will give the Marines easy access to anything blocking their path !

Steve

Whilst the Pacific Marine about to throw a grenade is great and hopefully we'll have one for the Tet range. How also about adding to both ranges where the Marine has just released the grenade.

Steve

I might be biased, but I'd love to see a Cav officer with stetson and aviators, LTC Kilgore style!

1st Air Cav. That would be very interesting. Makes a great piece. I’d pick one up. I’d like to see Military Police in combat. They played a big part in the 68-69 battles.

Now the VC and NVA are starting to appear, how about a 60mm Mortar and crew for them and an 81mm for the Marines.

Like to see the standing firing and Laying prone firing Marine figures as Black Marines maybe just a head change involved there ?
Another couple of semi crouched Marines firing. And at least one changing the Magazine on his M16.

Another two RTO's one standing and another laying down.
Different posed M79 Grenadiers. M60 gunners Laying prone, kneeling firing from hip and another Marine feeing him ammo.

One or two Dead and wounded Marines such as you've done for the Pacific Marines.

A Recoilless 106mm and crew to mount on the Mule.

That's my few requests for now ! {sm4}

If that's just a 'few' of your requests Steve...I sure wonder what a lot would look like!
Best wishes and happy collecting,
Andy.

PACV patrol Air Cushion Vehicle. A very effective counter insurgency vehicle used in the Mekong Delta. The Hovercraft would patrol the river and could lift up the onto the bank chasing the VC inland to their great terror A gaping dragon mouth was painted on the ari cushion. Twin .50 M2s provided fire power along with grenade launchers. A fine beast to model IMO

,
You're already making a lot or have it in the pipeline Andy that I like, so trying to keep my requests short ! :salute::
Looking forward to the rest of the Aussie patrol, Of course a US one would be good too !{sm4}

I think a few film figures would be nice to me. Platoon is my most favorite Vietnam war film. I know there are toy soldiers companies who have already tried it! But I think that andy and his Team can do better😁👍

The Aussies had some cool gear in Vietnam. The Fire Support vehicle was an M113 with a Saracen Turret on top; very effective.

The US Sheridan light tank had a 152mm gun/launcher and could fire the 152mm Beehive round. A NVA regiment was found nailed to trees by the Flechettes after attacking an armored cavalry unit equipped with the Sheridans.

Lots of neat weapons that have yet to be modeled in 1/30; although they have been modeled in 1/35 kits. The PACV was modeled as an RC Vehicle years ago and was an accurate model of the Bell SK-5 made for both the Navy and Army.

Think you mean Saladin Turrets (from Saladin Armoured cars) on the M113. Saracen was an APC.

Personally I haven't taken a leap into the Vietnam range...yet. but I am lesn9ng more and more towards it.

I would love to see some movie related figures of all the cast from Platoon: Taylor, Elias, Barnes, Bunny, Manny, Lerner, Junior, Red, big Harold, Captain Harris, Lt Wolfe, Rhah.

I would also like to see some terrain pieces which collectors could turn into part of a firebase. And some houses based on real buildings from Saigon and Hue City and also some hooches.

How about a little vignette of 2x marines searching through some hay and coming across a hay bale with one go those wooden lids on top which has been removed and a civilian or Viet cong with their hands up is sticking half out of the hole?

I think they would be popular figures to collect and as you say K&C's sculptors would do a great job on them I'm sure.
The Vietnam range is an interesting range to collect I think with lots of possibilities for future releases, but for myself I hope Andy continues with the Marines for a while longer, so perhaps if he does delve into movies this early in the range he'll start with Marine related ones Like Full Metal jacket.
I see from the photos taken at Chicago a future release two MP's escorting a VC with his hands up clutching his id card, so I can see that figure being useful in many different dioramas !

Maybe some marines reloading M16s and firing m14s, advancing with m14s!

Scott

How about 3 GI's carrying a wounded comrade in a poncho to a medivac.
