Yesterday I visited the NY Historical Society Museum in NYC to view their new Vietnam War Exhibit. Burns and Novick who produced the PBS documentary on Vietnam were advisors to the exhibit.
Many interesting artifacts, videos and murals.
I especially enjoyed a display of "Zippo" lighters that were engraved with regimental logos, personal inscriptions, artwork and even a few with bullet holes!
Certainly worth a visit if you are visiting NYC or live in the area. Museum is on Central Park West and 77th street, right next door to the Museum of Natural History.

I read about the Exhibit last week and really wanted to see it but unfortunately have re-injured my foot so will have to wait, if I get to see it at all.

Sorry about your injury Brad but the exhibit will be there for a few months.

Feel better Brad!:smile2: Believe me, I understand!{sm4}

It’s the same old issue. Thought it was better but Chicago worsened it. Back with the therapist.

No interest in anything Burns as an "advisor" might have touched

Nothing like "open minds".....I think if you actually saw the exhibit you would be pleasantly surprised.

I have no doubt I would like the exhibit. That is NOT what I said. It's having a review done by a DRAFT DODGER
I find ludicrous. There are plenty of VETERANS that were actually there to give a review.

Point well taken.....we should have reviews from many perspectives and then actual visitors can make up their own minds.
I did not find the exhibit to be political. It showed the heroics and sacrifices of our troops, it covered the North Vietnamese perspective and the protests at home.
There will never be a consensus on this war in our lifetime because of the emotions it brings out from those who served, those who thought the war was immoral and both
the South and North Vietnamese experiences. I would like to think we have learned something from this conflict, that would do more justice to those who sacrificed their lives
and limbs and mental health. Not sure, however, we have.
