I'm not sure about you guys, but I just loved the TV series Vikings. While watching it, I saw the shieldwalls that they would setup during battle and decided there and then that it would make a great addition to our Vikings figure series. Similar in concept to our Roman Testudo, the figures have been designed with interlocking bases to allow collectors to really set them up very close together to get the effect of a true Viking shieldwall. In addition, the 12 different figures, each with a unique shield pattern, can be setup in any way that a collector wants, thus offering great flexibility in terms of the composition and size of your display. And finally, by mixing in existing previous releases of other figures, you can represent areas where a section of the shieldwall is engaged or has been broken into by inserting those other figures into a section of the shieldwall. The sky's the limit in terms of how it's displayed and which figures you use to get the results you want. We hope you like the new figures!

That’s an amazing looking display.

That interlocking base is a great system to enable the figures to be positioned close by each other.

I love seeing them en-mass and look forward to seeing their opponents charging that wall,

well done,

John

Wow! This looks amazing. My wallet is thankful I dont collect Vikings though^&grin

GOOD GOD!!!

This is an INCREDIBLE display!!!! if the mounted Samurai archer wasn't the best release of 2019, this certainly is.

Curious but I heard about this release via email from George. Did FL send out their dispatch email announcing these releases? If so, I didn't get it- might need to reach back out and get back on the list.

$4000 for a shield wall - I’ll have 10! And yes I am being sarcastic.....

My favourite bit of this small new release information is that the figure/tank price are in a smaller font, makes it slightly more difficult to read......and then you get the shock!!!!!!

Agree with the comments though the shield wall is very very nice; prices however just go up and up and up.....

First Legion makes great figures and I collect some.
But at twice the price of JJD's Saxons and forthcoming additions to this period it just doesn't make economical sense.
If money is no object just go for it!

FL must have many faithful collectors who pay the price hikes of their figures.I have had few FL figures for the price.{sm2}

They may be expensive, more expensive than others, like JJD, but these poses and the concept are (almost) worth the price. I just bought 3 and am very happy
